'Quilts for All Seasons' show set

The Log Cabin Quilters will host a "Quilts for All Seasons" Quilt Show from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, July 16, and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, July 17, in the John Glas Fieldhouse on the campus of Bemidji State University.

General admission is $3 per person.

The Quilt Show will offer more than 400 quilts for participants to view. There will be quilt shop vendors and a food court available throughout the two-day event. There will also be a silent auction on both days of the show.

Carrie Nelson of Miss Rosie's Quilt Company will teach two quilt classes, titled "Moose Munch" and "Heartland." These classes are $60 per person, per class. Advanced registration is required, by calling Johanna at 751-7214.

Nelson will also be signing books and presenting a trunk show at 6 p.m. Friday, in the Beaver Pride Room, located in the John Glas Fieldhouse. Admission for the trunk show is $5 per person.

Evelyn Nall will offer demonstrations on bed-turning from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

A variety of other demonstrations will be held Friday including English paper piecing and hand appliqué at 10 a.m.; tatting from 1-3 p.m.; photo quilts from 3-5 p.m. and rug weaving from 5-7 p.m.
