Three ejected from vehicles in serious crash south of Bemidji
The three occupants of two vehicles involved in a horrific crash Thursday afternoon in Farden Township south of Bemidji were all ejected from the vehicles.
The Hubbard County Sheriff's office said details of the crash will be made public on Friday morning.
One person was transported to an area hospital. The condition of two other men was not immediately available.
The accident, shortly after 3 p.m. at the intersections of Hubbard County roads 9 and 45, occurred on dry pavement with relatively good visibility, although snow flurries were blowing across the roadway.
Nearly a dozen State Patrol troopers and deputies from Hubbard and Beltrami counties responded to the scene.
The pickup and sedan involved were both totaled. The crash caused a power outage in the region when the vehicles mowed over a power box on the corner of the intersection. Electricity was restored to the area shortly after 5:30 p.m.
Officers at the scene called off an air ambulance due to overcast skies, and instead used a ground ambulance.
