Going to the car show?
The 26th annual Paul Bunyan Vintage Auto Club (PBVAV) Car Show will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at the Bemidji High School. Spectator fee is $5, which includes all events that day. Children 12 and younger will be admitted free. Garage tours and several cruises will be held July 18 for car show participants.
The car show is a stationary show, and spectators can view the cars, which are organized into 14 different categories based on year and modifications. While the show is going on, spectators can attend indoor and outdoor seminars covering topics such as master gardening, painting, polishing, and stainless steel restoration.
"There are a lot of automotive things," said Jerry Solheim, a member of the PBVAC and the advertising committee. "We try to pick a new variety each year,"
Food, raffle drawings and vendors will be available all day. Musical entertainment will be from 1-2 p.m. by Free Indeed, a local country/bluegrass/gospel band.
Solheim said the show brings people from all over the region to attend and show their cars.
"We have people from the Iron Range, Canada, and North Dakota is always represented really well...about a 100-200 mile circle around the city of Bemidji," he said.
