Family friendly activities on New Year’s Eve in downtown Bemidji

BEMIDJI — The Bemidji community is invited to participate in several New Year’s Eve activities in downtown Bemidji on Dec. 31.

At the Bemidji Public Library, a preschool story time starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by craft activities for elementary age children from 2 to 4 p.m. and an all-ages magic show at 4 p.m. The library is located at 509 America Ave. NW. You can paint a bear figurine noon to 4 p.m. at Glazed and Amused, 311 Third St. NW. Cost is $1 for children and $2 for adults.

Sledding at Library Park Hill is set for 2 to 4 p.m., with refreshments provided. A free healthy snack will be available from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Harmony Foods, 302 Irvine Ave. NW.

An Ecumenical worship will take place at 6 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, 500 Irvine Ave. An all-ages New Year’s Eve party will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Headwaters Science Center, 413 Beltrami Ave. Special ball drops will be held at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Cost is $10 for Headwater Science Center member families and $15 for non-member families.
