Cass Lake man sentenced for eight felony crimes
A Cass Lake man has been sentenced to 109 months in prison for felony crimes committed in October 2011.
According to a press released issued by Cass County Attorney Christopher J. Strandlie, the state recommended a total sentence of 119 months. Larose was ordered to pay restitution to two victims of his crimes, the press release said.
Larose participated with two accomplices in stealing a van in Cass Lake and driving that van to a Federal Dam home where they burglarized a residence, according to the release. Larose along with Gordon Lee Dunn, also known as “Dee Dee Harrison,” 35, of Cass Lake and David Joseph, also known as “DJ,” 34, of Staples, broke into the home with a gun and held the female occupant at gunpoint. The three men set the van on fire prior to fleeing the residence.
Dunn pled guilty on March 20 and was sentenced to serve 126 months in prison. Joseph pled guilty Oct. 3 and is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 3.
