According to a press release, the Movember movement was born from recognition that a fun and engaging initiative could help encourage men to become more actively involved in their own health.

Movember aims to change the face of men’s health by getting conversations started at a grassroots level, educating men about health risks of prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges they face and raise vital funds for support programs.

All funds raised through VisitBemidji’s Facebook Movember campaign will be donated to support local men’s health initiatives and Movember programs.
