Indigenous Arts Festival set

BEMIDJI — Rail River Folk School and Bemidji Area Indian Center present the Indigenous Arts Festival, a community art event June 28 and 29 at the Rail River Folk School.

A live garden concert is scheduled 7 to 9:30 p.m. June 28 with Sonny Johnson and Windy Downwind and a hoop dancer demo by Lumhe “Micco” Sampson.

Live demonstrations will be held 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 29 on birch bark crafting, canoe making, moccasin making, beadwork, black ash basketry, jingle dress making, hide tanning, quilting, quill work and pottery.
