Bemidji City Council to consider south shore apartment building

BEMIDJI — A proposal to for an apartment building on the city’s south shore will be considered Monday by Bemidji city councilors.

The Bemidji Economic Development Authority, which is made up of city councilors, will hear from the Headwaters Regional Development Commission’s development director Aaron Chirpich. He previously described the apartment as "high-end."

After the proposal is presented, the meeting will be closed to discuss potential land sale offers.

During the regular city council meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, the council will consider joining the Mississippi River Cities and Towns Initiative. That group addresses river water quality, flooding issues and river-focused recreation.
