Students learn through competition at TAD Day

BSU hosted TAD DAY — Technology, Art and Design — on Thursday for 130 area middle school age students. Students could choose to learn more through competitions, workshops and demonstrations. As part of a competition, teams were given the task to build a tower out of marshmellows and spaghetti that could hold a ping pong ball with the ability to withstand an earthquake. Teams scored more points for a structure with the least amount of material and scored on how high the ball was off the ground. Monte Draper | Bemidji Pioneer
