Bemidji High School to close early due to smoke from fire

Bemidji High School will release students at 1:30 p.m. today, Monday, due to smoke damage on the second floor of the academic wing.

A fire in a second-floor bathroom was reported Monday morning but was quickly brought under control. Students were evacuated outside for a short time immediately following the reporting of the fire.

All after-school activities are planned to continue as planned.

BHS will resume regular classes Tuesday morning.
