Gallagher files for Bemidji School Board

Bemidji resident Fulton Gallagher filed an affidavit of candidacy for Bemidji School Board Wednesday.

The filing period for school board members is Aug. 3-17.

Three seats on the Bemidji School Board are up for election this fall. Filing opened Aug. 3 for the seats now occupied by Carol L. Johnson, Steven H. Johnson and Bill Faver.

Melissa Bahr, Carol L. Johnson, Steven H. Johnson and Faver have already filed affidavits of candidacy.

An affidavit must be filed in the office of the school district clerk and the $2 filing fee paid prior to 5 p.m. Aug. 17.

A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter; be 21 years of age or older on the day of assuming office; be a resident of the school district for 30 days before the general election on Nov. 2 and have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same general election.
