Paul Bunyan Communications announces members’ share for 2012

BEMIDJI — The capital credit return announced at last week’s annual meeting of Paul Bunyan Communications will be for the remaining 75 percent of credits earned in 2000 and 20 percent of credits earned in 2012.

This is a member’s share of profits from those particular years and the checks will be mailed out in early September, officials said. The total amount to be returned is just more than $2.6 million.

Elections for the Board of Director election also were announced:

— In District 1 covering Kelliher, Northome, Blackduck, Big Falls, and Ash River, Gary Eklund was re-elected receiving 1,709 votes to Jerry Schmischney’s 539.

— In District 6 covering Red Lake, Ponemah, and Redby, Glenda Martin was elected with 1,566 votes and running unopposed. It will be Glenda’s first term on the board.
