EAPC expands to South America
EAPC Wind, with offices in North Dakota, Bemidji and Vermont, has initiated operations in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru and Uruguay by merging with Buenos Aires based company Wind Industry Konsult.
This new merger has created EAPC South America and will offer a complete range of specialized bankable engineering and consultancy services to project developers, the financial community and the manufacturing industry.
Co-founder of EAPC South America is wind energy veteran Mathias Thamhain, who has held senior management positions with leading industry and consultancy firms in Europe. "The partnership with EAPC Wind allows combining specialized wind industry knowledge from the two major wind energy markets, the US and Europe and makes available a broad service portfolio in the region," Mathias said.
Both partners have gained long-term project experience in the region before. "With EAPC South America, we gain local presence at the heart of the rapidly growing wind energy market in South America," said Bob Sherwin, one of the founding partners of EAPC Wind. "The new venture is in line with our international expansion strategy. We have a long tradition of delivering our services in other parts of the world from our two offices in Vermont and North Dakota."
EAPC has provided wind engineering and consulting services on wind farm development in North America, South America and Europe.
