One dead, three injured in central Minn. crash
PILLAGER, Minn.—A 73-year-old woman from Cushing, Minn., died in a two-vehicle crash at 5:14 p.m. Monday, March 26, on Highway 210 east of Pillager.
Sandra Lee Leyde died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported a Honda Civic was traveling west on Highway 210 when it lost control, crossed the centerline and was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado traveling east. The highway conditions were snow- and ice-covered, the crash report stated.
The Honda was driven by Ronald M. Leyde, 82, Cushing, and the Chevy was driven by Adam J. Fulton, 40, Pillager. Both drivers, along with one passenger in Leyde's vehicle, Shaun S. Leyde, 39, Cushing, were transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life-threatening injuries. Sandra Lee Leyde, Leyde's second passenger, suffered fatal injuries.
Fulton's passengers, Connor E. Fulton, 9, and Landon A. Fulton, 12, both of Pillager, had no apparent injuries.
Pillager is about 14 miles west of Brainerd.
