Faith briefs for May 3

Spring brunch planned at Our Savior

KELLIHER — The annual spring brunch begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 249 W Main St.

The program will feature “The 23rd Psalm for Busy People.” The speaker is Rhonna Ferdig from the Blackduck area. There will also be special music and activities. The brunch menu includes ham and egg bake, fruit, muffins and beverages. A free will offering will be used for special missions at home and abroad.

Garage sale planned at Faith Lutheran

BEMIDJI — First Lutheran Church will have a garage sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 9th Street and Bemidji Ave.

The sale will feature half price and $1 bags starting at 1:30 p.m.

HUUF hosts events throughout May

BEMIDJI — The Headwater Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will be hosting a series of events throughout May.

There will be a “Let Them Speak” event at 10 a.m. Sunday with Andrea Fricke.  

A Night of Pie will be at 5:30 p.m. May 10. Also scheduled is a children’s service with Marcy LaCroix, a potluck and a Time and Talent Auction at 10 a.m. May 19 at Bemidji State Park.

Pray Bemidji group meeting today

BEMIDJI — The Pray Bemidji Group is hosting a praise, prayer and worship gathering at 7 p.m. tonight at the Becida Community Church. Worship will be led by Tim Pomp.

St. Bart’s hosts rummage, bake sale

BEMIDJI — St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church will host its annual rummage and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

There will be sloppy joes, hot dogs, chips and beverages available for purchase. Proceeds help support local, national and global ministries.

Special services are scheduled

Trinity Lutheran Church in Debs will have a special service at 9 a.m. Sunday with coffee and fellowship to follow.

Our Redeemer Church in Puposky will have a special mass at 10:30 a.m. Sunday with a potluck to follow in the fellowship hall.

Our Redeemer Church will also have a free community breakfast at 9 a.m. on May 13.
