A demolition crew begins the process on Tuesday of taking down the wood trestle bridge between Lake Bemidji and Lake Irving.

The cost to remove the old bridge, which was built in 1910 and used by the railroad, was $75,000. The Bemidji City Council voted to close the bridge and then remove it in October.
