Federal sentencing set for Bjerknes
ST. PAUL -- The federal sentencing date for a former middle school assistant principal who exchanged sexual pictures with children has been set.
Brandon Mark Bjerknes, 35, will appear in federal court in St. Paul on Feb. 6, 2018, to be sentenced for one count of coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in sexual conduct and one count of production of child pornography. Bjerknes pleaded guilty to the charges Sept. 28 and has since been in federal custody.
Bjerknes used the name Brett Larson to create the fake Facebook and Snapchat account. Posing as a teenage boy, he asked multiple teen girls -- some of whom were BMS students -- to send him sexuall explicit pictures and videos. He passed at least one photo or video along to a teenage boy.
Bjerknes was also charged with four felonies in state district court, to which he plead guilty on Oct. 4.
