Male injured in Redby shooting

BEMIDJI -- A male received non life-threatening injuries during a shooting Sunday in Redby, Minn., on the Red Lake reservation, according to the FBI.

One victim, whose name and age are not available for release, received a gunshot wound during the incident, which occurred at a residence in the early evening according to Kyle Loven, a media coordinator with the FBI.

The victim was treated at a hospital in Fargo, N.D. According to an incident report from the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, officers assisted the FBI and Red Lake police with attempts to locate two males in a white or silver car in relation to the shooting.

The report lists a 2001 silver Toyota Camry with Minnesota license plate 544RKK as an involved vehicle.

Law enforcement could not locate the males or the car.

Loven said no suspects have been identified at this time and that the investigation is ongoing.
