Information from public sought in Blackduck robbery
BEMIDJI — The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect in the investigation into the armed robbery that occurred at the AmericInn in Blackduck on New Year’s Eve.
The sheriff’s office asks that people who were in Blackduck that evening think back to that time frame and think about anything they might have seen or heard. A vehicle or suspicious character in the area of the motel that night that someone may have seen could be the catalyst to solving the crime, the sheriff’s office stated in a news release.

The sheriff’s office was notified of the robbery at 7:22 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. The suspect was described as 6 feet tall, possibly in his early 20s, with a deep voice. He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants and had donned a bright orange mask. An undetermined amount of cash was taken.
