BURNSVILLE, Minn. (AP) — Witnesses told investigators a car was speeding and swerving before it crashed in Burnsville, killing two teens and injuring three others.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the driver lost control and the car rolled down an embankment and onto Interstate 35 Tuesday afternoon. The two teens who died were thrown from the Toyota Camry. They are identified as 17-year-old Alesha Roehl of Northfield and 16-year-old Frederick Alexander of Burnsville.

Two 16-year-old male passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. The 17-year-old driver was treated at a Burnsville hospital and released.
