The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following reports:


5:32 p.m. Sunday, Murphy's Oil. Gas drive-off of $62.35.

3:52 p.m. Sunday, Park Avenue Laundry. Several blankets were stolen from a washing machine.

10:58 a.m. Friday, EZ Stop. Gas drive-off.

8:51 a.m. Friday, Petro Serve Gas Station. Gas drive-off.

Property damages

10:20 a.m. Sunday, 500 block of Oak Street Southwest. The front porch of a residence was egged.

7:09 p.m. Friday, 800 block of Park Avenue Northwest. A chain link fence was damaged.

4:38 p.m. Friday, 1500 block of Bemidji Avenue North. A vehicle was damaged in a parking lot.

Peace disturbances

2:17 p.m. Sunday, 600 block of 19th Street Northwest. Noise complaint.

2:11 a.m. Sunday, Minnesota Avenue northwest. Noise complaint.

4:36 p.m. Saturday, 15th Street Northwest. College students were advised not to play in the street and to keep alcohol within their own yard.

9:39 a.m. Saturday, 800 block of 26th Street Northwest. A man was removed from his residence.

4:29 a.m. Saturday, 900 block of 30th Street Northwest. Noise complaint.

Ordinance violations

1:56 a.m. Sunday, 100 block of Third Street Northwest. A man was cited for consuming in public.

1:27 a.m. Sunday, 100 block of Third Street Northwest. A man and woman were cited and for consuming in public.

7:13 p.m. Saturday, Beltrami Avenue Northwest and Third Street Northwest. A 22-year-old man was arrested for urinating in public.

2:46 a.m. Saturday, Third Street Northwest. A man was reportedly being obnoxious with pedestrians and provoking a fight.

2:06 a.m. Saturday, Third Street Northwest. A woman was cited for consuming in public.

12:44 a.m. Saturday, First Street Northwest and Beltrami Avenue Northwest. Two women were cited for consuming in public.


1:21 a.m. Sunday, Toasty Beaver's Sports Bar & Grill. A man was reportedly assaulted and injured.


10:59 p.m. Saturday, First Baptist Church. Four juveniles were seen on the roof of the church. The juveniles were verbally warned.


4:03 p.m. Saturday, 1700 block of Birchmont Drive Northeast. A woman reported people were smoking marijuana at a park. Officers were unable to locate marijuana or paraphernalia on the suspects.

Disorderly conducts

3:06 p.m. Saturday, Fourth Street Northwest. Officers were called to investigate intoxicated individuals downtown. One man was cited and a 48-year-old man was arrested.

3:13 a.m. Saturday, 400 block of Wood Avenue Southeast. A woman was harassing her ex-boyfriend over the telephone.

11:41 p.m. Friday, 100 block of First Street Northwest. A 20-year-old man was arrested for minor consumption of alcohol.

Financial crime

12:54 p.m. Friday, 1700 block of 30th Street Northwest. Check forgery.

Sheriff's Office

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following reports:


6:26 p.m. Sunday, 23rd Street Southeast. A driver heading westbound hit a tree with her vehicle. She sustained minor injuries and sought medical treatment on her own.


9:26 a.m. Sunday, Alps Court Northwest. An Eckles Township resident reported prescription drugs were stolen.

Peace disturbances

11:30 p.m. Saturday, Alps Court Northwest. Loud music complaint. A 37-year-old woman was arrested for violating a no-drink order.

1:27 p.m. Julia Vista Drive Northwest. A ruffed grouse was heard drumming.


8:04 p.m. Saturday, Indian Service Road 18, Red Lake Indian Reservation. Deputies assisted Red Lake Police officials with searching for outstanding suspects who fled from the reservation to a residence on Lumberjack Road Northeast. Several people were arrested. One suspect was still outstanding.


12:54 p.m. Saturday, Manitou Road Northwest, Pinewood. A woman reported seeing a flame come from the front of her stove. A deputy helped her turn off the gas for the stove.

Property damage

11:56 a.m. Saturday. A Lammers Township resident reported a mailbox being damaged.
