Police Report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following reports:

Peace disturbance

4:43 a.m. Wednesday, 900 block of 30th Street Northwest. Noise complaint.


3:35 a.m. Wednesday, 600 block of America Avenue Northwest. Caller reported smelling marijuana. Officers made contact, but no marijuana was found.

Property damage

10:29 p.m. Tuesday, 300 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. A city light post was damaged.


6:11 p.m. Tuesday, 400 block of 26th Street Northwest. Items were taken from a vehicle.

10:33 a.m. Tuesday, Bemidji Discount Liquor. A citation was issued for theft of alcohol.

12:17 p.m. Tuesday, A cell phone was reported stolen, but was later returned.

10:14 a.m. Tuesday, 2400 block of Park Avenue Northwest. A shotgun was stolen from a parked vehicle.

9:56 a.m. Tuesday, 1000 block of Anne Street Northwest. Money in the amount of $40 was stolen.


10:57 a.m. Tuesday, Baker Apartments. Fire alarm.

Sheriff's Office

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following reports:

Property damage

4:19 p.m. Tuesday, Grange Road Northwest. Someone reportedly tampered with a semitrailer truck while it was parked at a business. Nothing was stolen.


11:49 a.m. Tuesday, Bemidji. A vehicle was reportedly stolen from Anne Street. The registered owner admitted moving the vehicle to a different location because she did not want her husband driving because of medical issues.


6:21 p.m. Tuesday, Tyler Avenue Southeast. A home in Frohn Township was burglarized. A large amount of money and jewelry were taken from within the residence. The case is under investigation.

Fire Report

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following reports:

7:57 p.m. Monday, 200 block of Mississippi Avenue Southwest. Medical call.

9:01 a.m. Tuesday, 3100 block of Blue Spruce Lane Northwest. Medical call.

10:59 a.m. Tuesday, 800 block of Bemidji Avenue North. Fire alarm.

12:28 a.m. Wednesday, 1700 block of Norton Avenue Northwest. Life assist.
