Police Report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Disorderly conducts

8:29 p.m. Sunday, 500 block of 12th Street Northwest. A mother and son had a dispute.

2:12 a.m. Sunday, Toasty Beaver's. A person was urinating in front of the bar.

11:36 p.m. Saturday, 600 block of Second Street Southeast. A person was reportedly urinating in a parking lot.

9:25 p.m. Friday, 100 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. A man was removed from an apartment.


7:25 p.m. 100 block of Third Street Northwest. A black purse with a pink wallet inside was stolen from a bar.

5:49 p.m. Sunday, Walmart parking lot. Money was stolen from a parked vehicle.

12:21 a.m. Saturday, 100 block of Third Street Northwest. A jacket containing an ID, keys, check card and cell phone was stolen.

Peace disturbances

3:54 a.m. Sunday, 3800 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. Loud music was reported.

5:14 p.m. Saturday, 2800 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. Loud music was reported.

10:17 a.m. Saturday, 800 block of 26th Street Northwest. The sound of heavy steps coming from an upstairs apartment was reported.

6:42 p.m. Friday, 2900 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. Sounds of shouting and banging were reportedly heard coming from an apartment.

Ordinance violation

12:25 a.m. Sunday, 100 block of Third Street Northwest. A man was cited for consuming in public.


5 p.m. Saturday, 1900 block of Middle School Drive Northwest. An incident led to someone's knee being fractured.

Property damage

4:22 p.m. Saturday, 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. An item was damaged in the back of a parked pickup truck.

Juvenile/status crime

11:17 p.m. Friday, Birch Lane Northeast and 19th Street Northeast. Seven people between the ages of 18 and 20 were issued citations for minor consuming of alcohol. Two individuals were arrested for violation of no-drink orders.


10:24 p.m. Friday, 2800 block of Bixby Avenue Northeast. A caller reported hearing a loud crash and a possible fight occurring outside her house.

Sheriff's Report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:


11:50 p.m. Sunday, Elpine Village. A person was assaulted.

4:30 p.m. Friday, 15900 block of Centerline Road Northwest. A caller documented suspicious activity occurring in the area.

Peace disturbance

1:51 p.m. Saturday, Balsam Road Northwest. Ongoing noise complaint.

12:07 a.m. Saturday, Bemidji Avenue North. Deputies responded to a party complaint. Partygoers were dispersed and the landlord was contacted by phone.


11:36 p.m. Friday, Turtle River Lake Road Northeast, Hines. A pickup truck caught on fire.


8:07 p.m. Friday, Pete's Place West. Gas drive-off.


8:20 a.m. Friday, Forest View Drive Northeast. A 33-year-old man was found passed out on a couch after deputies received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked outside a residence with foot tracks leading up to the building.
