Writing workshop set at public library

Jess Lourey, a Minnesota mystery author, will present her "Writing and Publishing a Novel" workshop from 9-11 a.m. March at the Bemidji Public Library.

The seminar is geared toward aspiring writers in any genre.

The workshop is free and open to the public with limited seating. Those attending should bring a writing utensil and a notebook. The doors will open for coffee at 8:45 a.m.

Lourey has taught the seminar in New York City, New Orleans, and San Francisco. She is the author of the Lefty-nominated Murder-by-Month mysteries set in Battle Lake, Minn. Her next book, November Hunt, will be released in March.
