MPR stations back at full strength after antenna failure last week
Minnesota Public Radio stations serving Bemidji and the North Central part of Minnesota are back on the air at full strength today after suffering a major failure in the antenna system on Thanksgiving Day.
"We are pleased to be back at full power" MPR Regional Network Director Kristi Booth said in a news release. "These repairs are a 'stage 1' repair. That means we are now in good condition to get through the winter. Next summer when the weather improves we will need to perform much more extensive maintenance on the antenna system on our 1,000 foot tower to prevent a reoccurrence. We want to thank our MPR listeners for their patience and understanding as we worked to repair the problem."
Full service is now restored to 91.3 News and 88.5 Classical
