FFA convention held

At the national FFA convention members and guests attend leadership inspiring sessions, explore opportunities at the career/college fair, shop 'til they drop at the national FFA mall and above all meet new friends from FFA chapters all over the nation.

On Oct. 18, Kip Solberg, Cassy Ferdig, Clara Notsch, Matthew Patch, Jared Eckstrom and Cindy Veazey along with their advisor, Mark Friesen and Blackduck alumni, Tina Freyholtz, packed their bags and made the 14-hour bus ride to Indianapolis, IN. While there, along with about 55,000 other participants, they took the opportunity to attend this unforgettable, awe inspiring convention.

On their way out of Indiana, the Blackduck FFA chapter took a pit stop at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where every member in attendance was able to kiss the legendary brick finish line. They also learned important history about an American pastime.

The Blackduck FFA chapter would like to extend a special thank you to everyone that made purchases from their fruit sales in the past. Your contributions are what paid for most of this trip. Keep your eyes open for this year's fruit sales coming up in early November. The Blackduck FFA chapter would like to raise enough money to attend nationals again next year.
