Road repair underway in Lammers Township

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Management has advised that repair work began on a portion of Ploium Road Northwest, approximately 400 yards west of Lammers Road Northwest, located west of Bemidji and north of Solway Thursday, March 31.

Gravel will be hauled in and grading conducted in order to mitigate water over the roadway. Construction began at 7 a.m. Thursday and should be completed by noon. Citizens may see gravel trucks in the area. The weight limits that normally apply to trucks hauling on roads this time of year do not apply to trucks that are in the employ of any government agencies or local officials who are repairing roads that constitute a hazard to citizens. This is part of the mandates that are allowed during flood season.

Use caution when traveling in the area.
