Marijuana plants found near Blackduck
Eighty-five marijuana plants have been confiscated by police after they were found growing in rural Blackduck.
According to a press release from the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office:
Agents of the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, assisted by Leech Lake Tribal police officers and Beltrami County sheriff's deputies, on March 6 executed a search warrant at a rural Blackduck residence in the 6000 block of Scenic Highway Northeast.
Agents found 85 marijuana plants being grown in two large metal storage containers buried under the garage floor at the residence. Access to the hidden rooms could only be made through a disguised trap door found under a work bench in the garage.
The occupant of the residence is currently being sought in connection with the marijuana-growing operation.
