Kelliher receives USDA grant for library

Pictured are Caitlyn Duresky, Megan Poxleitner and Kristi Geerdes with the very first donation of books for the community library made by Raeya Crowson, daughter of Richard and Angie Crowson.

USDA Rural Development has awarded the Kelliher School District an $82,500 grant to create a community library and make energy efficient improvements at the Old School Center.

Members of the Kelliher FCCLA are organizing a book drive to collect books for the new community library. We are asking for donations of gently-used used books that are no longer needed.

We are looking for children's books, adult fiction, and non-fiction. Books can be dropped off at the Kelliher High School office or the FACs room. Caitlyn Duresky, Megan Poxleitner and Kristi Geerdes are working on the community library for their FCCLA Chapter Service Event.
