Hubbard County reports snowmobile crash

At approxcimately 3:50 p.m. Monday, the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office received a report that a snowmobile had collided with a fence.

The location of the incident was approximately half a mile east of Park Rapids in Henrietta Township, in the north ditch of state Highway 34.

Responding officers discovered that a 1994 Ski Doo snowmobile was being operated in the north ditch of Highway 34 by Cassandra Mills, 28, of Park Rapids. The passenger on the snowmobile was Christian Couch, 35, also of Park Rapids.

The fence that the snowmobile struck was a white, wooden fence that borders the highway right-of-way. There was minimal damage to the fence and the snowmobile.

The driver of the snowmobile suffered injury to her right leg and was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital. The passenger received no injuries.

Responding to the incident were the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office, Park Rapids Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, North Memorial Ambulance Service, and Hubbard First Response.
