Lasch retires from Air Force service

On Oct. 14, Major Aaron G. Lasch retired from the U.S. Air Force, after 26½ years of active service to his country.

Major Lasch enlisted in the Air Force in February of 1984, under the Delayed Entry Program. He began active duty in August that same year.

He was stationed in various areas including Spangdahlem AB, Germany from November 1989-November 1997.

He has served in many areas of combat including Saudi Arabia (Desert Shield/Desert Storm) from January 1991-March 1991; November 2002-June 2003, Kosovo (Operation Joint Guardian); March 2007-September 2007-Bagram, Afghanistan, (Operation Enduring Freedom) and October 2009-April 2010, Chief, KAIA Contracting Office, Kabul, Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom).

At the time of his retirement, Major Lasch was serving at Peterson AFB, CO, as the Staff Acquisition Officer, Contracting Division, AF Space Command.

He is the son of Gene and Cynthia Lasch, formerly of Kelliher and now of Shawano, WI.
