Lorraine Peck's sister, Yvonne and Clarence Trushenski of Billings, MT, visited Lorraine and family July 8-11. Friday, the Trushenskis attended the funeral of Michele Krueth in Kelliher. Also attending were Lorraine and Lori and Dan Dietrich.
Saturday, Lorraine attended the Big Bog celebration in Kelliher with the Trushenskis.
Sunday, Lorraine's sister, Judeen and Kermit Johnson of Richfield, Lorraine and the Trushenskis all had breakfast at Countryside and later spent the afternoon visiting at Lorraine's apartment. That evening, they got together with their brother, Earl and Evalyn Krueth and two of Evalyn's cousins from Iowa for supper at the Powerhouse in Northome.
Monday, the Johnsons left for Bemidji and then on to Duluth and the Trushenskis and Lorraine were invited to Val and Art Hanks' home for Ufta Tacos.
Vivien Langston and her daughter, Carol and Fred Barnes of Des Moines, IA attended the monthly potluck birthday party in the community room. This was inadvertently left out of last week's news.
After worship services Sunday at Ridgewood Baptist Church in Bemidji, Loraine enjoyed the kick off of the Saddle Ridge Vacation Bible School block party. There was a large turnout for a pig roast, horseback rides and moon bounces. The group welcomed Pastor Mark Smith and his wife, Lisa, who brought a team of helpers from Texas to assist with the week's activities.
Week ending July 22
Monday, Dee's brother-in-law, Milton Rand and sister-in-law, Elaine Rand, came up fro the Cities to visit her. They had lunch at Countryside then took chicken and fixings back to Dee's for supper.
Tuesday, Carol Mourer and Dee spent part of the day in Bemidji for appointments, shopping and lunch at Country Kitchen.
Thursday, Elaine Baazard came to visit with Dee.
