Police report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Motor vehicle tampering

Saturday, 1300 block of Bixby Avenue Northeast. A lock to a vehicle was damaged, apparently by someone who punched the lock in an effort to gain entry. The damage was estimated at $85.


6:59 p.m. Saturday, 500 block of Paul Bunyan Drive South. A fight was reported, and upon arrival, officers found a male on the ground who was being kicked by another male. The suspect was arrested.


9:47 p.m. Saturday, 800 block of America Avenue Northwest. A man reported that he was assaulted by another man.

Bike thefts

5:51 a.m. Sunday, 10th Street Northwest and Minnesota Avenue Northwest. A red and black Trek 26-inch men's mountain bike was stolen. The loss is valued at $420.

8:29 a.m. Sunday, 2600 block of Delton Avenue Northwest. An orange and black Tony Hawk 20-inch boy's trick bike was stolen. The loss is valued at $200.

Peace disturbances

3:18 a.m. Saturday, 2800 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest.

8:36 p.m. Saturday, 200 block of 25th Street Northwest.

2:10 a.m. Sunday, 1800 block of Delton Avenue Northwest.

11:12 a.m. Sunday, Bemidji Avenue North and Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest.

Property damage

7:56 p.m. Sunday, Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest and Irvine Avenue Northwest.

Sheriff's report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:


8:07 p.m. Friday, 24900 block of state Highway 72 Northeast, Blackduck. A report was made about shots fired from a vehicle. The suspect vehicle was located and it was determined that no shots were fired.
