Two injured in Fosston accident Monday night

Two occupants of a pickup truck were injured near Fosston Monday night when the truck went off a dirt road and into a ditch.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Thief River Falls:

Joshua M. Albright, 16, of Fosston, was driving the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado east on 430th Street Southeast when he lost control of the truck.

The street was described as having loose gravel and a "washboard" road.

The vehicle went off the road to the right and entered a steep ditch, where the front of the truck struck the ditch embankment.

Albright, who was not wearing a seat belt, was treated and released at First Care Medical Services Hospital in Fosston.

A passenger, 16-year-old Tara J. Evje of Fosston, who also was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to First Care Medical Services Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle was totaled.
