Blackduck Library News

On April 24, the Blackduck Community Library will be serving afternoon tea at the Blackduck Senior Center. This event will be the spring fundraising activity for the library and all proceeds will be used for the library.

Area businesses and organizations have donated filled baskets to be raffled off during the tea. Each person will have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, and then use them to bid on the basket of their choice.

One winning ticket will be drawn for each basket. Tri Sigma will be donating a picnic basket and Northwoods Lumber will be donating a handyman's basket.

Other baskets will be provided by the Blackduck Garden Club, Gladys Meade and several others. The tables for the tea will also be decorated by area businesses and organizations, all using a book for their theme. Moon Drug, Anderson Fabrics, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #372, and the Blackduck Garden Club are some of those providing the table themes.

Everyone is invited to attend this fun event, which will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the senior center. The cost of the tea is $5 per person, and includes beverage, finger sandwiches and desserts.
