Koochiching Aging options to meet in Northome

Koochiching Aging Options, a new nonprofit organization serving the aging population of Koochiching County, will hold its next board of directors meeting in Northome.

Members of the public are invited to attend an open forum session beginning at 9:30 a.m., April 12, at the Northome City Hall meeting room.

"Please come and share your insights, hopes and concerns about services to older adults in the county," urged board Chairperson Sue Fraik.

Koochiching Aging Options was formed in 2009 to deliver programs and services to Koochiching County's older residents and their caregivers. This non-profit organization runs such programs as the Koochiching Caregiver Consultant Program, Senior Companions, and Senior Wheels. It offers referral, counseling and planning services.

"We want to be sure we are reaching all those who would benefit, including those in more remote areas of the county," Fraik explained.
