Funding for government lapses as short-term spending bill stalls in the Senate

White Earth primary results announced

WHITE EARTH -- The following are the official results of the White Earth primary election held Tuesday, March 30.

The top two candidates for secretary-treasurer and District II Representative move on to the general election June 8.

- Incumbent District I Representative Irene "Rene" Auginaush and challenger Steven "Punky" Clark were the only two candidates that filed for District 1 and automatically move on to the general election.

- Secretary-treasurer candidates are and Robert J. Durant with 357 votes for 17.89 percent and Eugene "Bugger" McArthur with 420 votes for 21.05 percent.

- District II Representative candidates are Kenneth M. Coleman Jr. with 193 vote for 24 percent and incumbent Terrence "Terry" Tibbetts with 355 votes for 44.15 percent.
