Week of March 29-April 2

TUESDAY, March 29 - Chicken patty on a bun, oven fries, California medley vegetables with cheese, pears, granola bar, bread slice, milk variety.

TUESDAY, March 30 - Mac and cheese, mini corndogs, peas, peaches, bread slice, milk variety.

WEDNESDAY, March 31 - Cheeseburger, baked beans, baked chips, pickles, mandarin oranges, bread slice, milk variety.

THURSDAY, April 1 - Baked ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, glazed carrots, cranberries, dinner roll, ice cream treat, milk variety.

FRIDAY, April 2 - No school.

Scholarship info

The following scholarship information is available in the high school office:

• Blandin Foundation Education Awards: Anyone under the age of 25 as of Sept. 1 and plan on attending, any accredited educational institution in the United States. Deadline is May 1.

• Vernon J. Pick Foundation Scholarships: Seniors planning full-time college study in one of the general areas of sciences, mathematics, or engineering. Applicants have a GPA of at least 3.25 and a ACT score of 27 or higher. Deadline is March 30.

• Knights of Columbus: Senior Catholic Students. Deadline is April 1.

• Mike Staples Memorial Scholarship: Seniors pursuing post-secondary education in natural resource areas or criminal justice area or other related careers. Deadline is April 15.

• Blackduck Community Fund Scholarship: Seniors from Blackduck High School attending a four-year college or university and demonstrating high academic achievement and involvement and positive leadership qualities. Deadline is April 15.

• P.E.O. STAR Scholarship: Seniors and junior women who exhibit excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success. Also, must have a GPA of 3.0 to 4.0. Deadline is Oct. 1.

Community Ed

Small Willow Basket Making will be held March 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the commons. The fee is $20.

Arrowhead will be held April 8 at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $12.

Fish Woodcarving will be held April 15 at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15.

The Four Hour Defensive Driving Refresher Course will be held April 24 from 1-5 p.m. The fee is $14 to AARP and $2 to Community Ed.

Adult Basic Education is held Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m. at the Blackduck Resource Center.

Wednesday Night Volleyball is held at 7 p.m. in the high school gym. The fee is $3 per night.

MONDAY, March 29 - Hot ham and cheese, green beans, criss cross fries, melons, milk.

TUESDAY, March 30 - Chicken pot pie filling over biscuits, peas, oatmeal cookie, pears, milk.

WEDNESDAY, March 31 - Chili, crackers, cheese slice, cinnamon roll, applesauce, milk.

Community Ed

Aerobics will be held Monday-Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the school gym. Bring a towel.

Open gym is Sundays from 3-5 p.m. The cost is $1 per person or $5 per family.

FRIDAY, April 2 - No School.
