Hockey Day is coming to Bemidji; 13th annual event set for winter 2019

Candace Simar, author of The Abercrombie Trail, educating program attendees on the history and ramifications of the 1862 uprising in Minnesota. Simar raised many points of information not well known, as well as describing how she came to write her book, which features a stagecoach driver between Fort Snelling and Fort Abercrombie.

Elisa Korenne concert coming

Critically-acclaimed composer, performer and writer Elisa Korenne will be performing her Minnesota's Ordinarily Unsung concert March 4 at the Blackduck Golf Course at 7 p.m.

This 60-90 minute concert, with its mix of stories and songs, gives the audience glimpses into the lives of interesting characters from Minnesota's history.

Korenne now lives in New York Mills, but she has been performing her original songs at concerts and festivals around the world for over 10 years.

Kitchigami Regional Library System and the Blackduck Community Library are proud to present this special concert with funds dedicated by Minnesota's voters for arts and cultural heritage. This legacy grant program is free of charge. Seating is limited, so please pick up your free tickets at the Blackduck Library.
