JPB to meet Wednesday night
The Greater Bemidji Area Joint Planning Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Bemidji City Hall.
A public hearing is scheduled on a proposed ordinance that would regulate development in flood-prone areas. The ordinance would make people who are susceptible to flooding eligible for flood insurance through the National Flood Insurance Program.
A public hearing also will be held on a rezone request from Kent and Mary Jo Christienson to rezone a 1.52-acre vacant parcel of property at 3503 Minnesota Ave. N.W. from B-1 (low-density commercial) to R-6 (multi-family).
Matthew Dyrdahl, development specialist with Headwaters Regional Development Commission, will give a presentation on Active Living.
