TUESDAY, Dec. 1 - BBQ riblet, mashed potatoes with butter, green beans, peaches, blueberry muffin, milk variety.

WEDNESDAY, Dec. 2 - Corndog, french fries, peas, pineapple, bread slice, milk variety.

THURSDAY, Dec. 3 - Beef taco met, soft shell tortilla, lettuce and cheese, salsa, fat free sour cream, corn, pears, milk variety.

FRIDAY, Dec. 4 - Tomato soup, cheese sticks, saltines, carrot sticks with Ranch dressing, mixed fruit, milk variety.

Scholarships available

Washington Crossing Foundation: Seniors who are history buffs, enjoy politics, or are interested in government or military service. Visit: Deadline is Jan. 15.

Farm Credit Service Scholarship: Seniors who are from an actively farming or ranching family OR are planning to pursue an agricultural degree. Deadline is March 1.

KFC Colonel's Scholarship: Seniors with a GPA of 2.75 or higher and are pursuing a bachelors degree. Apply online at Deadline is Feb. 10.

US Bank Internet Scholarship: Seniors attending an accredited two or four-year college next fall. Apply online at Deadline is Feb. 28.

America Legion Auxiliary Department of Minnesota Scholarship: Seniors who are sons, daughters, grandsons, or granddaughters of a veteran. Deadline is March 15.

National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association: Seniors who have a minimum GPA of B+ average, participated in two sports for at least two years in each, and one varsity letter in each of two sports. Deadline is Feb. 28

North Country Health Services Auxiliary Scholarship: Seniors pursuing a career in a health related field, and not have been a previous recipient. Deadline is March 15

AXA Achievement Community Scholarship: Seniors who show ambition and drive, respect for self, family and community, and ability to succeed in college. Download an application at Deadline is Feb. 15

Foundation of Rural Service: Seniors with at least a C grade point average, receive telecommunications service from Paul Bunyan Telephone, and plan on returning to work in a rural area after graduation. Deadline is March 1

Alworth Scholarship: Seniors with a score of 25 or higher on their ACT, plan on a major in math or science, and in the top 20 percent of their class.

Community Ed

Wills and Estates will be held Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school library. The fee is $10.

Community Ed

Aerobics will be held Monday-Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the school gym. Bring a towel.

Open gym is Sundays from 3-5 p.m. The cost is $1 per person or $5 per family.

NCHS scholarships available

Eight $1500 North Country Health Services Auxiliary Gift Shop Scholarships are available to students in the NCHS service region and to present employees of North Country Health Services. To be considered for one of these scholarships, an applicant must be pursuing a career in a health-related field and not have been a previous recipient.

This scholarship is contingent upon enrollment in an accredited school. It will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the chosen school for credit toward the student's educational expenses when a fee statement or proof of enrollment is received by the scholarship committee.

A complete application must include the following:

• A completed Application Form.

• An official transcript(s) from the school's scheduling office, including ACT and/or SAT scores.

• Two separate letters of recommendation (if currently a student, at least one must be from an instructor).

• A completed Reference Form by a counselor, principal, or supervisor.

• Delivered or postmarked by March 15.

Applicants are responsible to see that all necessary information is received by the committee. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Recipients of the scholarship will be notified by April 15.
