Police report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:


8:35 a.m. Tuesday, 700 block of Park Avenue Northwest. A report of an assault and robbery remains under investigation.

Theft from vehicle

9:53 a.m. Tuesday, Bob Lowth Ford. A Dell laptop and radar detector was stolen from a vehicle left at the business for service.

Peace disturbances

12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Bixby Avenue Northeast.

12:33 a.m. Wednesday, 100 block of 12th Street Northwest.

Hit-and-run accident

1:15 p.m. Tuesday, 2100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest.

Property damage

10:40 p.m. Tuesday, 1900 block of Middle School Drive Northwest.

Sheriff's report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:


11 a.m. Monday, 1800 block of Little Norway Avenue Southeast. A theft from a rental trailer was reported.

4:04 p.m. Monday, Mina Lake Lane Northwest. Diamond rings had been stolen more than a year ago. A family member reported that he believed to have seen two of them at an area pawn shop.

6:38 p.m. Tuesday, Dewey Avenue Southwest. A Mossberg youth 20-guage shotgun and a rare Winchester .22 magnum rifle were stolen sometime in the past 18 months to two years.


2:23 a.m. Wednesday, 2800 block of Arrowwood Circle Northwest. A fight with weapons was reported. A suspect was arrested.

Property damage

9:18 a.m. Tuesday, 7200 block of Birchmont Court Northeast.

Fire report

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

2:18 p.m. Tuesday, 500 block of Island View Drive Northeast. Vehicle rollover, no injuries.

3:12 p.m. Tuesday, El Rancho Franaldo Northwest near Fifth Street Northwest. Grass fire. Eighteen firefighters responded for about 20 minutes. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources assisted.

6:42 p.m. Tuesday, Fifth Street Northwest. Medical call.

8:51 p.m. Tuesday, 900 block of America Avenue Northwest. Medical call.
