Hockey Day is coming to Bemidji; 13th annual event set for winter 2019

Todd Pemberton Sr., 45, of Duluth, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christian Missionary & Alliance Church in Cass Lake with the Rev. George "Boomer" Collins officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake under the direction of Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Pallbearers will be William Brunelle, Tim Connor, Charles Hanson, Brian Lussier, Bernard "Stacy" Dorvinen and Tim Beaulieu.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Pemberton, Joel Roy Jr., Joel Roy Sr., Oleg Iatic, Ed Hanson, Linda Morris and Jeff Brunelle.

He was born Aug. 9, 1962, to Jeremiah and Katherine (Beaulieu) Pemberton in Cass Lake. He graduated from Cass Lake High School in 1980. He joined the US Army in 1983. After the service, he worked for Cass Lake Bingo Palace and Mystic Lake Casinos.

He was mainly a caregiver to his children, whom he loved very much. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and ricing.

He moved to Duluth in 2003 and lived there until his death.

He is survived by his children, Danielle Iatic, Jarred Pemberton, Todd Pemberton Jr., Thomas Pemberton and Tahleeyah Pemberton; a grandson,; his mother; a sister, Karen Pemberton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by father; a brother, Craig Pemberton, and grandparents, Clifford and Margaret Beaulieu and Peter and Charlotte Jackson.
