State trooper injured at Minneapolis accident scene
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A state trooper escaped major injury when her squad car was struck from behind at an accident scene in Minneapolis.
Officials say trooper Renee Adrian was inside her squad car when it was hit by an SUV on Interstate 94 in Minneapolis.
The State Patrol says both Adrian and the driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
Adrian was protecting the scene of an earlier accident when she was hit Sunday afternoon. She was treated at HCMC and released.
Officials say the squad car's seat belt, cage and roll bar likely saved her life.
