Bank announces

new president

BEMIDJI — Security Bank USA recently announced the promotion of Tiffany Baer Paine to bank president and chief executive officer.

She succeeds her father, John W. Baer, who is retiring after more than 47 years of community banking. She has been serving as serving as vice president of operations and has been with Security Bank USA for 21 years. She is the fourth generation of Baer’s to hold the position of president at Security Bank USA.

Janiksela hired

at Bemidji Paper

BEMIDJI — Corey Janiksela had recently been hired as a sales representative for Bemidji Paper, a whole distributor of business related products and services. Janiksela has 16 years of sales experience in the local community and surrounding areas.

Summer internships for BSU students

BEMIDJI — BSU is partnering with the George W. Neilson Foundation to offer opportunities for local businesses to hire BSU students for internships.

The Neilson Foundation will be fund 15 internships, including one specifically for health and nursing, for private business pertaining to any major offered by BSU or Northwest Technical College.

The foundation will pay half of the intern’s hourly compensation, up to $2,500, with the participating business paying the remainder.

Businesses applying for internship funding must be located within 30 miles of Bemidji.

Applications for internship positions are due Feb. 28.
