Public expense policy

The council considered adopting a chart that would outline whether an expense, such as a donation or fee waiver, would be legitimate.

The city also would provide heat, air-conditioning, water, sewer and Internet connection. The term of the lease, if approved by the JPB, would be at least five years long.

ACTION: The council voted unanimously to approve.

Menards traffic signal

The council considered a bid of $16,800 from Kinley-Horn & Associates to design a traffic signal for the not-yet-existent Menards store and State Highway 197.

ACTION: The council voted 6-1 to approve, with Mayor Richard Lehmann casting the dissenting vote.

Paul Bunyan State Trail
