Julie M. Huewe, 42, of Bemidji, died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji with the Rev. Chuck Huck officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, and one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Jones Township Cemetery near Solway.

Pallbearers will be Cole Ward, Christopher Knapp, Orlie Lauderbaugh, Mitch Loos, Brandon Huewe, Terry Sorensen, Rob Collett and Doug Bock.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews: Gerald Bock, Larry Johnson, Greg Dolson, David Huewe, Richard Huewe, Doug Westrum and Gerald Johnson.

She was born March 2, 1965, to Norbert and Pauline (Sorenson) Huewe in Long Beach, Calif. She grew up and attended school in Bemidji.

In 1980, she married Orlie Lauderbaugh in Sisseton, S.D., and they lived in Guthrie. She worked as a nursing assistant. She later worked at Nortech, Potlatch and Ainsworth. She enjoyed riding four wheelers, reading, fishing and being outdoors.

She is survived by her significant other, Shawn Strowbridge of Bemidji; son, Nick (Alicia Mayer) Lauderbaugh of Bemidji; daughter, Heather (Cole Ward) Lauderbaugh of Becida; one grandson; mother, Polly Huewe of Bemidji; grandmother Pauline Huewe of Laporte; sisters, Lisa (Corey) Knapp of St. Paul, Dawn Huewe of St. Paul and Heidi (Mitch) Loos of Bemidji; special sister, Julie A. Huewe of Bemidji; brothers, Brian Huewe and Gary Huewe, both of Bemidji; nieces, nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
