Nicholas Moreland Suratt, 22, of Bemidji, died on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, in Bemidji.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bemidji with Rev. Lon Kuether officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home of Bemidji and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Turtle River.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gregg Erickson, Charlie Thayer, Chris Bluhm, Tim Freye, Ryan Haugen, Jeremiah Freye, Wenonah Bellecourt and Austin Needham.

Pallbearers will be Derek Cornelius, Joe Eason, Matt Eason, Dan Lemon, Deran Hill and Dan Moberg.

He was born on Sept. 12, 1984, to Gary and Connie (Freye) Suratt, in Lafayette, La. He moved to Bemidji at the age of 6 months. He attended Central School and St. Mark's Lutheran School. He also graduated from Bemidji High School. He worked at IBI in Bemidji. He worked as a loader operator for Dale Vogt this past summer, and he worked at TEAM Industries in Bagley.

He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, going snowmobiling, working out and playing sports with friends.

He is survived by his father, Gary Suratt of Zephyrhills, Fla.; mother, Connie Suratt of Bemidji; sisters, Amanda Lawrence of Indiana and Casey Suratt of Bemidji; brother, Zachary Suratt of Bemidji; fiancée, Aryn Lyn Wiegele of Bemidji; maternal grandmother, Nancy (Robert) Lee of Wilton; paternal grandfather, John Suratt of Mississippi; a niece and nephew; and aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather and great- grandmother.
