Alice J. Olson, 81
Alice J. Olson, 81, of Park River, N.D., formerly of Edinburg, N.D., died on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, at Good Samaritan Center in Park River.
She is survived by a son who is a Bemidji resident.
A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Grace Free Lutheran Church in Edinburg. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Edinburg, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Garfield Lutheran Cemetery in Edinburg.
She was born on March 19, 1925, to Oscar and Jennie (Johnson) Cleveland, in Jessie Lake, Minn. She attended schools in Deer River, Minn. She married Selmer Olson of Edinburg on June 15, 1944, in Jessie Lake. The couple lived and farmed near Edinburg for 30 years. She also worked at the Grafton Developmental Center and the Park River Good Samaritan Center for 18 years.
She was a member of the Victory Free Lutheran Church and WMF in Park River.
She is survived by her children, Harlan (Diane) Olson of Bemidji, Ernest (Joan) Olson of Milton, N.D., Wayne (Linda) Olson of Faith, S.D., and Sandra (Clint) Sandvik of Elko, Nev.; 13 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren; and brother, Ordean "Bud" (Peg) Cleveland of Garrison, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marvel Evenson; and an infant son.
