Deborah Grebe, age 59

Deborah "Debby" Grebe, age 59, of Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Neilson Place, Bemidji. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church, Bemidji, MN with Reverend Robert Munneke officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2006 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Deborah Ann Trenerry was born March 17, 1947 to Walter and Patricia (Harrington) Trenerry in St. Paul, MN, where she grew up and attended Sibley High School. After graduating with a degree in forestry from the University of Montana, she married Bruce Grebe on December 22, 1968 in Saint Paul.

They lived in a number of different areas, including Ukiah, CA, Modesto, CA, Rocky Mount, NC, Franklin, VA and Presque Isle, ME, before settling in Bemidji in 1984. She held various jobs in Bemidji and was employed at the First Presbyterian Church in Bemidji at the time of her death.

Bruce and Debby built three houses together, the last being her current hobby farm in Frohn Township. There she raised llamas, angora rabbits, chickens, and bees in support of her never-ending number of hobbies. She took great pleasure in knitting, spinning, quilting, basket weaving, and gardening, and was always willing to try something new. She was an avid reader of fiction and history, and even began her own novel. Debby was a member of the Northern Minnesota Craftswomen, the Garden Club, and the Quilter's Guild.

Debby is survived by her husband, Bruce Grebe, Bemidji, MN; daughter, Amanda (Brandon) Persinger, and granddaughter, Eleni Persinger of New Jersey; father Walter (Mary Jane) Trenerry, St. Paul, MN; sisters, Joan Trenerry, St. Paul, MN and Kitty (Chip) Reveal, California.

She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Trenerry.
